A state court officer in Brooklyn Criminal Court has been fired after putting up a Facebook post in June that depicted the lynching of a Black man resembling former President Barack Obama.

Sgt. Terri Pinto Napolitano has been terminated from her position by George Silver, the deputy chief administrative judge of the New York City Courts, after he ruled that evidence presented at a hearing on Napolitano’s disciplinary matter, which was launched by the state court system, “substantiated the [charging document] allegations” concerning the Facebook post.
