A 'New Normal'? Panel Metes Out Rare 2-Year Suspension for Ex-Prosecutor's 'Brady' Violations
The appellate panel found the ex-prosecutor's conduct "merits the strongest possible condemnation because his actions deprived the defendant of a fair trial and also deprived the victim's family of a determination as to whether the defendant was responsible for the homicide and, if so, the imposition of a just sentence."

A panel of New York's Appellate Division, Second Department, in a rare move, ordered that a former Suffolk County assistant district attorney should be suspended from the practice of law for two years after he committed Brady violations during a homicide trial.
