Recent cybersecurity vulnerabilities, including the SolarWinds hack, have affected a broad swath of the U.S. government. We focus on the new information security measures by the Department of Defense (DOD) and the federal courts which have already begun to affect government contractors and private businesses.

DOD’s Contracting CMMC Interim Rule

The new DOD Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Interim Rule, 85 FR 61,505, took effect very quickly on Nov. 30, 2020 and it included a big change for 20,000 DOD Prime and Sub-Contractors.
