Acting U.S. Attorney Seth DuCharme of the Eastern District of New York on Monday told his staff he will be resigning effective March 19, the office confirmed in a news release Monday afternoon.

Mark Lesko, who has served as first assistant in the office, is expected to take the reins as acting U.S. attorney until President Joe Biden nominates a replacement. DuCharme, meanwhile, said he plans to move into private practice.
