Lesko’s chief assistant U.S. attorney is Jacquelyn Kasulis, who previously served as chief of the criminal division. As acting leader of the office, Lesko technically retains his previous title of first assistant U.S. attorney, but he clarified in a memo that Kasulis will oversee the office’s day-to-day operations, including its ongoing COVID-19 response, and fulfill his duties if he is unavailable.
