New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he will shortly be making his pick to fill the upcoming Court of Appeals vacancy spurred by the retirement of Judge Leslie Stein, who is expected to step down from the state’s top court in early June.

Stein’s spot is one of three positions on the Court of Appeals that are expected to open in a 10-month time frame.
