The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office announced Monday that a New Jersey lawyer has been charged with allegedly stealing nearly $240,000 from a former client he represented in the sale of her dead sister's estate.

Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez said in a statement that the attorney, 67-year-old Antoni Moszczynski of Madison, New Jersey, was arraigned on one count of second-degree grand larceny.  Moszczynski, who has an office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, was released without bail and was ordered to return to court on June 29, the DA's office said.

Moszczynski declined to comment when reached by phone at his law office Monday afternoon.
