The New York County Lawyers Association virtually hosted their annual Asian American Pacific Islander’s Heritage Month Celebration on Wednesday, via Zoom. Speakers addressed the challenges Asian Americans are facing in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Presenters from left to right: Margaret Ling, member of the NYCLA board of directors and co-chair of the Asian practice committee; Vince Chang, president of NYCLA; Congresswoman Grace Meng, and Peter Koo, a member of the New York City Council who represents portions of Queens.

Following the seminar NYCLA, honored Meng, who co-sponsored the COVID-19 Hates Crimes Act that was signed into law in May, in recognition of her outstanding civic duty and contributions to the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
