Blank Rome filed a lawsuit Friday in New York Southern District Court against the Republic of Haiti and its Bureau de Monétisation des Programmes d'Aide au Développement. The suit, filed on behalf of Preble-Rish Haiti, seeks to recover over $27 million in damages resulting from the alleged breach of maritime contracts for the delivery of fuel to Haiti. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:21-cv-04960, Preble-Rish Haiti, S.A. v. Republic of Haiti et al.
