Steptoe & Johnson and Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs filed a lawsuit on behalf of racehorse trainer Bob Baffert Monday in New York Eastern District Court. The complaint, filed against the New York Racing Association, seeks to reinstate Baffert's trainer's license. The license was suspended in May due to a failed post-race drug test of Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:21-cv-03329, Baffert v. The New York Racing Association, Inc.
