Two Manhattan lawyers have been indicted on allegations that they improperly handled the sale of a multimillion-dollar penthouse on the Upper East Side, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Melissa Ringel, a former court attorney and director in the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department, and her husband Frank Esposito have been charged with official misconduct, a misdemeanor, according to the DA’s office.
