Carol C. Villegas, a Labaton Sucharow partner and chair of its Women’s Networking and Mentoring Initiative, has been elected chair of the City Bar Fund’s Board of Directors, according to an announcement made Tuesday by the New York City Bar Association.

The Bar Fund is a nonprofit arm of the bar association that works to advance social justice in both the legal profession and society more broadly via pro bono legal services, diversity and inclusion programming, and mental health services and substance use counseling, according to the bar association’s website.
