- Eversheds Sutherland has added Ellen Sheridan-Cona as counsel in the firm's litigation practice group. She joins from the FINRA, where she was senior regional counsel in the Department of Enforcement.
- Gregory Baker has joined Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler as a partner in the firm's white collar defense and investigations group and chair of the firm's securities litigation practice. Prior to joining, he was most recently a partner at Lowenstein Sandler in its white collar criminal defense and securities litigation practices.
- Virginia K. Trunkes has joined Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani as a partner in the firm's construction group. She was formerly with Robinson + Cole.
- Loeb & Loeb has hired Brent Babcock as a partner in its patent litigation & counseling department and chair of the firm's patent trial and appeal board trials practice group. He joins from Womble Bond Dickinson.
- Seth Merl has joined Reed Smith as a partner in its global corporate group. He was formerly with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel.
- Holland & Knight has added securities and corporate litigator Martin Seidel as a partner. He was previously a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
- Kennedys has added Judith Selby as a partner in the firm's cyber and privacy practice. She was previously with Hinshaw, where she was also a partner.
- Dianna McCarthy has joined Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan as a partner in the firm's employment practices litigation group. Prior to joining, she was a partner at Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg.
- Robert Augusto Riva has joined Cole Schotz as a member of the firm's real estate practice. He was formerly at Shapiro & Gellert, where he served as head of the real estate finance practice.
- Ballard Spahr has promoted Judy Mok to partner in New York.
- Yankwitt has promoted partner Dina Hamerman to executive director. She has been with the firm for over 10 years and will maintain her litigation docket.
- Tim Kirby has joined Katten Muchin Rosenman as a partner in the firm's capital markets practice. He was formerly with Milbank in that firm's global capital markets group.
- Lester Bleckner & Shaw has added Rebecca Clareman as a senior associate. She was most recently general counsel and sole legal officer at RedSky Capital. The firm has also hired Jonathan Pizzaro-Ross and Corey Trail as associates. Pizzaro-Ross joins from McCarter & English. Trail was most recently assistant corporation counsel at the New York City Law Department, economic development division.
- Christos Papapetrou has joined Haynes and Boone as a partner. He joins from Levine Lee where he was also a partner.
- JAMS has added N. Damali Peterman to its panel. Prior to joining, she founded Breakthrough ADR, a global conflict resolution firm.
- Greenspoon Marder has added Aliya Nelson and Roberto Rando as partners, Jerry Juste as of counsel, and Katie Heron as associate to the firm's entertainment, media & technology industry group. They all join from Taylor English Duma.
- Alison Borochoff-Porte has joined Pollock Cohen as an associate. She was previously at the Center for Biological Diversity, an environmental nonprofit.
- Nixon Peabody has added Mauricio Cuellar, Steve Fantuzzo, and Matthew King as associates in the firm's affordable housing & real estate practice.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
