A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has vacated an earlier decision blocking a Christian pastor who advocates for gay conversion therapy from suing Vimeo over its decision to delete his account, in a case that tests the scope of immunity afforded to interactive computer service providers that police content posted on their platforms.

The three-judge panel said in a brief order Friday that it would rehear an appeal from James Domen, a self-identified “former homosexual” who was removed from Vimeo’s online video-hosting platform following repeated warnings that his posts violated its policy against “sexual orientation change efforts.”
