A unanimous panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has promptly disposed of an appeal Wednesday by a California pastor who sued Vimeo over its decision to remove his account, just days after the judges vacated an earlier opinion that the company was immune to his lawsuit.

The new ruling, published Wednesday, clarified the court's original decision, but did not alter the underlying holding that Vimeo was protected by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects interactive computer service providers, like social media companies, that make good-faith efforts to restrict offensive content on their platforms.
