New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday announced an expansion of the city’s coronavirus vaccine mandate, which will now cover city workers including school employees and the police and fire departments.
Anyone who fails to submit proof of vaccination by Sept. 13 will be tested for COVID-19 weekly, the mayor said.
