The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York has been recused from a criminal case in the district because acting U.S. Attorney Jacquelyn Kasulis is married to the defendant's attorney, an assistant prosecutor told U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis on Wednesday.
