Ariadna Jacob, a talent agent for TikTok personalities, has sued The New York Times and reporter Taylor Lorenz for defamation over a 2020 article claiming that she exploited aspiring stars in the online influencer business in Los Angeles.

The lawsuit, filed by Reiss Sheppe and Camara & Sibley, alleged that the article contained “numerous false and disparaging statements” about Jacob, including that she leaked nude photos of a former client and increased the rent on tenants in an influencer “collaboration house.”
