A former graduate student who was expelled from New York University’s nursing program has sued the school, saying that she was denied access to courses she needed to complete her degree.

The breach-of-contract lawsuit, filed Friday in Brooklyn Supreme Court, alleged that NYU had failed to uphold the terms of the agreement it entered with the woman, Shelain Willie, when she enrolled in the Rory Meyers College of Nursing.
