Ronald Creamer Jr., the former head of Sullivan & Cromwell’s tax group who also spearheaded mergers and acquisitions for the group, has decamped after close to three decades at the firm and will now be setting up shop at rival firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Creamer began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell in 1992 straight out of law school. He became a partner at the firm in 2000 and was there up until Sept. 17, sources said.
