The Second Circuit Court of Appeals has issued an opinion finding a film photography company’s downfall in the early 2000s shouldn’t have taken employees’ retirement funds down with it.

Based on ERISA requirements, the court found, employees of Vermont-based CTC Corp. not only were legally able to bring their lawsuit, as the district court held, but were entitled to significantly more funding than originally calculated.
