State Court of Appeals Judge Jenny Rivera is expected to participate in oral arguments remotely Tuesday after refusing to report her vaccination status or apply for an exemption to the court system’s vaccine mandate, a source with knowledge of the matter told the Law Journal.

Chief Judge Janet DiFiore’s administration set a Sept. 27 deadline for all judges to get vaccinated or get approved for an exemption. But Rivera has not reported whether she’s vaccinated and has not applied for a medical or religious vaccine exemption from getting the shot, the source said.
