Altice USA was slapped with a consumer class action Wednesday in New York Eastern District Court in connection with the Federal Communications Commission’s ‘Pledge to Keep America Connected’ amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The suit was filed by Jon L. Norinsberg PLLC on behalf of small businesses who accuse Altice of terminating their internet and phone service despite the company’s ostensible participation in the pledge. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:21-cv-05540, Shalomayev v. Altice USA, Inc.
