Judge Anne-Marie Jolly, an 11-year veteran of New York City's family court system as a jurist and before that a longtime staff member for the sprawling, five-borough system, will become its next chief administrative judge, according to a state court system announcement made Thursday.

Since 2015, Jolly has been the New York City Family Court's deputy administrative judge and, according to the announcement made by state Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence Marks, who appointed Jolly, she has "devoted her entire legal and judicial career to family law" and "brings vast knowledge and experience" to her new "critical assignment."
