Lawyers at Barclay Damon on Friday removed a lawsuit against the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and other defendants to New York Western District Court. The suit, filed by the Law Offices of Steven L. Kessler on behalf of two Heritage Chicken breeders, accuses the defendants of failing to ensure that the plaintiffs’ birds were provided adequate care after they were seized from the plaintiffs’ property and failing to stop law enforcement agents from breaking chicken eggs during the seizure. The case is 1:21-cv-01105, Carrano et al. v. American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) et al.
