Brandon McKenzie, who is of counsel to the small Manhattan firm Moss & Moss, bills himself as the go-to attorney for Airbnb hosts who are accused of running afoul of New York City’s restrictions on short-term rentals.

But now a third-party property management service that McKenzie co-founded and left in 2018, marketed as a “concierge service” for hosts with listings on Airbnb and other platforms, is the target of a lawsuit filed by the city’s Office of Special Enforcement, accusing the company of turning a profit on illegal short-term rentals.
