Kasowitz Benson Torres has filed a lawsuit on behalf of an industry group seeking to void a city proposal that would require special permits for all new hotel construction.

The lawsuit, filed this week in Manhattan Supreme Court, claimed that the City Planning Commission’s proposed citywide text amendment amounted to an “arbitrary” and unconstitutional ploy to get hotel developers to pay higher union wages.
