One year after offering up six of their senior associates to various racial and social justice organizations for year-long fellowships, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has decided to renew the program for another three years.

The initial Racial, Social & Economic Justice Fellowship Program took six associates and lent them out as fellows to a variety of social and racial justice organizations for 12 months, with the firm footing the full salary and bonus of said associates. The program was such a success—both from the firm’s perspective and from the perspective of those organizations that benefited from having Big Law lawyers on staff for a year—that the firm has tripled-down on its commitment. It will move forward with five associates for future iterations.
