Potential candidates are already signaling their interest in running for New York state attorney general in case Letitia James jumps into a high-profile race for the governor’s office.
An open attorney general spot could attract a wide range of possible Democratic candidates, including state Senate Deputy Majority Leader Michael Gianaris, D-Queens, Fordham University law professor Zephyr Teachout and state Assemblyman Clyde Vanel, D-Queens.
