Climate change’s moment has (finally) arrived.

Earlier this year, a major new United Nations scientific report concluded that a hotter future, brought on by climate change, is certain. The report showed that temperatures had already increased by 1.1 degrees Celsius over the 20th century and are on track to rise 1.5 degrees Celsius within the next two decades. If this happens, the report continues, droughts become more severe, there is less access to water, and many animal and plant species will disappear.
