The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday reinstated a jury's conviction of a now-defunct hedge fund executive and for defrauding investors in a Texas-based oil-and-gas firm, in a major victory for Brooklyn federal prosecutors who successfully tried the case in 2019.
