Vinson & Elkins hired Hy Pomerance, chief talent officer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, to work in the same role from the Houston-founded firm’s New York office.

Pomerance, who is based in New York, joined the firm on Monday. He replaces Patty Harris, who is retiring at the end of the year after 30 years at Vinson.
