New York's Joint Commission on Public Ethics on Tuesday revoked the authorization it previously issued for former Gov. Andrew Cuomo to publish a book about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, a move that could eventually compel Cuomo to forfeit his $5.1 million book deal.

Cuomo attorney Jim McGuire said the former governor is ready to go to court to challenge any efforts by JCOPE to enforce its decision.
