Associate Justice Leonard Austin of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department on Friday denied The New York Times’ motion to block a temporary restraining order issued by a trial judge, leaving in place a restriction against the newspaper publishing materials from Project Veritas that the right-leaning media criticism group has claimed are covered by attorney-client privilege.

The Times is reviewing its legal options in response, spokesperson Danielle Rhoades Ha said.
