U.S. District Judge Pamela Chen of the Eastern District of New York on Monday sentenced Brendan Hunt, a former Office of Court Administration employee convicted of threatening government officials, to 19 months in prison and three years of supervised release.

Prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York had asked Chen to sentence Hunt to 51 to 63 months, while Hunt’s attorneys Jan Rostal and Leticia Olivera of the Federal Defenders of New York asked the judge to sentence him to time served. Hunt has spent 10 months in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
