The jury in New York’s multidefendant opioid trial began deliberating on whether several drug companies have created a public nuisance Tuesday, nearly six months after opening statements in the suit brought by the New York Attorney General’s Office and Suffolk and Nassau counties.

The jurors sent a series of notes to the judge in the course of the afternoon, asking to review the testimony of several witnesses from the extensive record. Suffolk County Supreme Court Justice Jerry Garguilo said all the requested information would be provided.
