In a rare lateral partner hire, Cravath, Swaine & Moore has brought on former Federal Trade Commission Assistant Director Daniel Zach as a partner in New York, sources close to the move have confirmed.
Zach was the assistant director of the FTC's Mergers I Division, overseeing the health care sector. That included mergers in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and medical device fields, all of which have been active verticals for deal work recently.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
