Willkie Farr & Gallagher sued the U.S. government Wednesday in New York Eastern District Court on behalf of a Peruvian man who contends that he was wrongly denied I-914 immigration benefits established for victims of human trafficking. The plaintiff alleges that he was subjected to involuntary servitude and peonage by the Unification Church after immigrating to the U.S. in 2000 as a religious worker. The case is 1:21-cv-06922, R.G. v. Mayorkas et al.
