Attorneys representing former President Donald Trump and two of his children filed a motion to quash subpoenas from the New York attorney general, arguing that the Attorney General’s Office is attempting to use its civil investigation of Trump business activities to aid the joint criminal investigation it is conducting with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

The motion was filed late Monday, hours after Trump, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. were added as respondents to the civil suit, which already named Eric Trump, the Trump Organization and several associated businesses as respondents.
