According to filings submitted Tuesday to U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan, one of the jurors said in a media interview with Reuters that he "flew through" the prospective jury questionnaire and does not recall being asked whether or not he was asked if he had been a victim of sexual abuse.

Defense counsel for Ghislaine Maxwell, a close confidant to Jeffrey Epstein who was found guilty last week of sex trafficking, say the former socialite should receive a new trial after one of the jurors revealed to news outlets that his own experience as a survivor of sexual abuse influenced his vote to convict.
