- Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle has promoted Juan Perla to partner in the firm's litigation group in New York. Focused on international and appellate litigation, he has worked on several of the firm's high-profile matters, including S. v. Vaello-Madero, a case recently argued at the U.S. Supreme Court.
- Mound Cotton has promoted Jodi Tesser and Jared Markowitz to partner.
- Seward & Kissel has elevated Daniel Bresler and Nicholas Miller to partner. The firm has also promoted Jay Baroody, Kurt Plankl, Dora Pulido, Filana Silberberg, and Steven Starr to counsel.
- Bressler, Amery & Ross has promoted Gregory Sparer to counsel in New York.
- Pryor Cashman has promoted Benjamin Akley, Ross Bagley, LaKeisha Caton, Marion Harris, Ari Tran, and Matthew Young to the firm's partnership. The firm also elevated Erica Allegretta, Andrew Goldsmith, Meghan Hill, Ryan Klarberg, Felicity Kohn, Joseph Micali, John Rothman, Michael Schimel, Matthew Silverman, Dina Weinstein, and Taylor Weinstein to counsel.
- Hughes Hubbard & Reed as elected Shams Billah, Erin Diers and Amina Hassan to partner. The firm also promoted Malik Havalic and Alexander Rahn to counsel.
- Forchelli Deegan Terrana has elevated Danielle Tricolla and Robert Renda to partner. In addition, the firm has appointed partner Stephanie Alberts as co-chair of the tax, trusts & estates practice group.
- Davis+Gilbert has named corporate partner Curt Myers as its next chairman. Myers succeeds Ronald Urbach. In addition, Lewis Rubin, the firm's chief operating partner, will be stepping down from his position at the same time, with his responsibilities transitioned to several other partners. Urbach and Rubin have overseen the management of the firm since 2010.
- The Court of Appeals has reappointed four trustees to administer the New York Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection: Manhattan attorneys Eric Seiff and Peter Bellacosa, Buffalo businessman Anthony Baynes, and Gary Greenberg of Liverpool.
- Alexandria Kane has joined Loeb & Loeb as a partner in its capital markets & corporate department. She was formerly with White and Williams where she was a partner and chair of that firm's corporate and securities group.
- Boies Schiller Flexner has promoted Brooke Alexander to partner in the firm's Armonk, New York office.
- Haynes and Boone has promoted Matt Costello and Courtney Smith to partner.
- Raphael Larson and Gary Adamson have joined King & Spalding as partners on the firm's special matters and government investigations team. Larson will be based in Washington, D.C and Adamson will be in New York.
- Luciano Ricondo has been promoted to partner at Merchant & Gould.
- Milbank has elected the following attorneys to the firm's partnership: Kelsey Breck Baumberger, Richard Hillman, Lesley Janzen,Alexandra Johnson, Jonathan Karl, Kamal Nesfield and Brian Troxler.
- Eversheds Sutherland has elected Kevin Finnegan and Issa Hanna as partners and Jeanne Waters as counsel in New York.
- Cohen Clair Lans Greifer Thorpe & Rottenstreich has promoted Michael Calogero to partner in the firm's matrimonial and family law practice. In addition, the firm has hired Timothy Corbo as an associate, also in the firm's matrimonial practice. He was formerly a principal court attorney to Justice Matthew Cooper, Supreme Court, New York County.
- Elliot Resnik has joined Masur Griffitts Avidor (MGA) as partner and chair of the firm's new entertainment group. He joins from Herbsman Hafer Weber & Frisch where he was senior counsel.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
