At least two lawsuits, seeking a combined $1.5 billion over a tragic fire that killed 17 people in a Bronx apartment building on Jan. 9, have been removed to Manhattan federal court, filings showed.

The two complaints, originally filed last week in Bronx Supreme Court, were removed Tuesday by a pair of Dechert lawyers representing Cammeby’s International Group, a real estate firm that reportedly owned the affordable housing complex until 2019.
