Just months after he worked with a team of attorneys that won a $26 million jury award for nine people injured in the 2017 “Unite the Right” white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, Cooley’s Alan Levine is stepping into a new role as board president for the New York City Legal Aid Society.

Levine, a senior counsel at Cooley who boasts more than four decades of experience in the profession, will co-lead Legal Aid’s board with former Corporation Counsel Zachary Carter, the board’s chair.
