The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Tuesday vacated part of a district judge’s ruling that allowed bridal company JLM Couture Inc. to seize control of the “Miss Hayley Paige” social media accounts amid a contract and trademark dispute with a prominent wedding influencer.

The decision, from a three-judge panel of the Manhattan-based appeals court, came as a partial—and perhaps temporary—win for defendant Hayley Paige Gutman, who was sued in December 2020 after announcing her plans to split from JLM and start her own wedding gown company.
