- Steven Kayman has joined Rottenberg Lipman Rich as a litigation partner. He was formerly with Proskauer Rose.
- Brown Rudnick has added five partners and three associates to their global technology practice group. The partners are David Sorin, Scott Smedresman, Jared Sorin, Joseph Ferino, and Matthew Uretsky. Their associates are Ken Franklin, Morgan Jones and Thomas Rezach. David Sorin is co-chair of the global technology group, Scott Smedresman is co-practice group leader of the U.S. technology group, and Jared Sorin is co-practice group leader of the emerging growth companies & venture capital group. They join from McCarter & English.
- Goldberg Segalla has added Zachary Oliva to the firm's global insurance services group in White Plains. He was previously with Keane and Beane, also in White Plains. In addition, the firm has hired Ayomikun Loye to the its workers' compensation group in Manhattan. He was previously with Hankin Sandman Palladino Weintrob and Bell in Atlantic City.
- Anderson Kill shareholder Jeffrey Glen has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society.
- Wilson Elser has named Christopher Priore, Nathan Horst and Ashley Humphries as partners in New York.
- Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky has promoted Sean Mullen to partner and Chris DeNicola to counsel.
- Stradley Ronon has added Irwin Latner as a partner in its transactional practice. He was in private practice prior to joining.
- Joseph Brasile has joined Faegre Drinker as partner in the firm's real estate practice group. He joins from Pryor Cashman, where he was also a partner.
- Morrison & Foerster has added Edward Imperatore as a partner in its investigations + white collar defense group, based in the firm's New York office. He was previously with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York where he served as assistant U.S. attorney since 2012 and a senior member of the office's securities & commodities fraud unit.
- Lauren Axelrod has been promoted to general counsel of the City Bar. She joined the City Bar in November 2018 from Empire State Development.
- Andrew Migdon, formerly of Goldfarb & Fleece, has joined Rudin Management Company as chief legal officer. He will be the first person to hold this role at the firm.
- Mark Ramsey has joined Kramer Levin as a partner in its corporate practice. He was formerly a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman.
- Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed New York litigation partners Celia Cohen and Steve Dollar as its US co-heads of financial institutions.
- Kenneth Ziman has joined Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as a partner in the firm's restructuring department.
- Jana Simon has been promoted to chief DEI officer at Wiggin and Dana. Based in the New firm's York office, Simon has served as the director of DEI since March 2021. In addition, Pierre Yanney has joined the firm as a partner in its intellectual property practice group and as chair of the patent prosecution group. He was previously a partner at Bressler Amery & Ross.
- Akerman has hired Bradley Henry as a partner in the firm's white collar crime and government investigations practice. He joins from Michelman & Robinson where he served as the chair of that firm's white collar defense and investigations practice. The firm has also hired Steven Chudnow as a partner in its real estate financing practice. He comes to the firm from Watchel Missry.
- Goodwin has added Jud Welle as a partner in the firm's data, privacy & cybersecurity practice. Before joining, he served as managing director, head of the digital investigations & cyber defense practice, and chief counsel for cybersecurity & privacy at the investigations firm Nardello & Company. In addition, the firm has also hired Robby Stein as a partner on its private equity team. He was previously a partner and co-chair of the corporate finance and lending practice at Akerman.
- Sheel Patel has joined King & Spalding as a partner in the firm's corporate, finance & investments practice. He was previously a partner with Jones Day.
- Perkins Coie has added Sandhya Ganapathy as senior counsel to the firm's investment management practice. She joins from Bridgewater Associates.
- Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed New York partner Sandeep Savla as its U.S. co-head of regulatory, investigations, securities and compliance, joining Washington, DC partner Kevin Harnisch in this leadership role.
- Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr has elected partner Jason St. John as the firm's managing partner and also its next chief executive officer.
- Gerard Luckman, partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana and chair of the its bankruptcy & corporate restructuring practice group, was elected president of the Turnaround Management Association's Long Island Chapter.
- Vincent Pitta, founding partner of Pitta LLP and founding member of Pitta Bishop & Del Giorno LLC will now serve as the chairman of both firms. Vito Pitta has been named co-managing partner of Pitta LLP and co-managing member of Pitta Bishop & Del Giorno LLC. In addition, four Pitta LLP attorneys have been elevated. Andrew Midgen has been promoted to partner, Michael Bauman and Stephen McQuade have been elevated from of counsel to senior counsel, and associate Joseph Bonomo has been promoted to senior associate.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
