The judges of the Manhattan federal district court announced Monday that they had appointed Judge Martin Glenn to serve as chief bankruptcy judge for the Southern District of New York.

Glenn, who has served as a bankruptcy judge since 2006, will succeed Judge Cecelia G. Morris, who had served two five-year terms at the helm of the court. According to the announcement, Morris would continue her judgeship, which is based in Poughkeepsie.
