Personal care company Blistex Inc. was hit with a consumer class action Monday in New York Southern District Court in connection with a November 2021 recall of its Odor-Eaters Spray products. The suit, brought by Burson & Fisher, claims that the products contain dangerously high levels of the carcinogen benzene.

In recent months, Procter & Gamble has been hit with similar toxic tort suits alleging that its Old Spice and Secret spray deodorants also contain hazardous levels of benzene.
