A wave of former New York prosecutors—with experience both at federal and state levels—are landing new jobs in private practice, as large law firms and boutiques alike are anticipating rising demand for white-collar defense work.

Most notably, four ex-leaders of major offices have found new jobs after stepping down or seeing their terms come to an end. In the last week, former Southern District of New York U.S. attorney Audrey Strauss rejoined Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson after leaving her post in October; former acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York Jacquelyn Kasulis joined Kirkland & Ellis; former Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance landed at Baker McKenzie after declining to run for a fourth term; and former Suffolk County district attorney Timothy Sini joined Nixon Peabody after he was defeated in his reelection bid in November.
