Perkins Coie Hires Sarah Deri Oshiro as the Firm's Pro Bono Immigration Attorney

- Perkins Coie has hired Sarah Deri Oshiro as the firm's newly created role of pro bono immigration attorney where she will oversee the firm's humanitarian-based immigration pro bono work. Prior to joining, she was the managing director of the immigration practice at The Bronx Defenders.
- Domestic violence shelter services provider, Urban Resource Institute, has named Heidi Hamilton as its general council and chief compliance officer. Most recently, she was the chief real estate, facilities & legal officer for Amber Charter Schools.
- Blank Rome has added three partners to the firm's national corporate, M&A, and securities group in New York: Leslie Marlow, Hank Gracin, and Patrick Egan. The team joins from Gracin & Marlow.
- Nixon Peabody has elevated Isaac Figueras, Lori Bowman and Matthew Carrigg to partners in the firm's Rochester office.
- Farrell Fritz has hired Daniel Rubin as a partner in the firm's trusts and estates group. He was previously a partner at Moses & Singer.
- Offit Kurman has selected principal Laura Winston to serve as practice group leader of the firm's intellectual property group.
- Latham & Watkins has added David Freedman and John Spears to the firm's New York office. Freedman joins as a partner and Spears as counsel in the real estate practice and members of the corporate department. They join from Alston & Bird.
- Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed partner Robin Adelstein as its U.S. co-head of commercial litigation. She joins Houston partner Andrew Price in this leadership role. In addition, the firm has appointed partners Celia Cohen and Steve Dollar as its U.S. co-heads of financial institutions.
- Steve Lueker has joined Moses & Singer as a partner in the firm's tax, banking & finance and Internet & technology practices.
- Reid Skibell has joined Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes as a partner in the firm's complex commercial litigation practice. He was a previously a partner with the boutique firm Harris St. Laurent & Wechsler.
- Goldberg Segalla has added William Hython to the firm's commercial litigation and arbitration group in Syracuse. He was previously with Hancock Estabrook, also in Syracuse.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
