A justice of the Waterford Town Court in Saratoga County has resigned while under investigation for alleged nepotism, a New York state disciplinary panel announced on Wednesday.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct said in a statement that Nancy Sunukjian, who is an attorney, was being investigated by the commission for allegedly arranging to hire a relative’s fiance and then retaliating against a court-system employee who voted against the hire.
